The Unitech TS type gas/liquid separator automatically removes 99% ofliquid and solid impurities larger than 10 microns in air, gas, and steamprocessing applications. This separator has no moving parts internally,therefore requiring no maintenance.
The humid gas enters the separator through the inlet and begins adownward centrifugal motion due to the swirling flow. Solid and liquidimpurities are separated out due to the decrease in velocity. Theseparated liquid and solid impurities fall into a liquid collection chamberdesigned with unique VCP baffles, preventing secondary contamination.
The clean, dry airflow is then directed directly to the outlet by the VCP.This eliminates the need for expensive and fragile conventional separatorbaffles.
(A) The gas and liquid entering the vessel are diverted by an inlet baffleto remove large droplets and free-flowing liquid.
(B) The gas and remaining mist then enter a vane separator.
(C) The separated droplets are collected at the bottom of the vanes.
(D) A submerged drain pipe drains the liquid to the bottom of the vessel.
(E) A level gauge controls and monitors the amount of collected liquid forproper drainage from the vessel.
The unfiltered solution fills the entire vessel and is circulated through theoverflow port, keeping the suspended solids in a uniform state.
The suspension is circulated through the filter disc, and the solid phaseaccumulates uniformly on the entire surface of the filter disc, forming apre-coat layer.
The filtrate passes through the filter cake layer, filter screen, and spacerring area to the hollow shaft and filtrate outlet.
Washing is performed by circulating the washing liquid through the filter.Heating/Drying
As the filter disc rotates, the dried filter cake is thrown off the disc andfalls to the bottom of the equipment by gravity, and is dischargedthrough the bottom discharge port.
The wet filter cake is thrown off the rotating filter disc and falls to thebottom. It can be discharged through the discharge port with theassistance of a suitable solvent. Pressure assistance can ensure the flowof viscous mixtures.
