The Unite U-CL-V leaf filter, also known as a pressure leaf filter orthickener, uses filter discs as the filtering element. The filter discs arestacked on the main shaft of the equipment and rotated at a low speedby the main shaft. The filtrate passes through the filter layer from boththe upper and lower surfaces of the filter disc into the interior of the disc.
Catalyst particles are retained on the surface of the filter disc, forming afilter cake. The clarified liquid enters the hollow main shaft from theinterior of the filter disc and is discharged from the outlet at the bottomof the container. The filter cake on the filter disc is controlled by ascraper to maintain a constant thickness, allowing the equipment tomaintain high-precision filter cake filtration while slowing down the rateof increase in equipment resistance.

The Unite automatic backwashing filtration system consists of multipleparallel filtration units arranged in rows and groups. The normal flow isfrom outside to inside, while backwashing occurs from inside to outside.When the raw material passes through the filter vessel containing thefilter elements, particulate matter gradually deposits and accumulateson the outer surface of the filter elements, forming a filter cake. As thethickness of the filter cake increases, the liquid flow becomesincreasingly difficult to penetrate the filter elements, and the pressuredifference increases. When the pressure difference or operating timereaches a preset value, the raw material inlet valve of that group isclosed first, followed by the rapid opening of the backwashing valve. Clean filtered liquid is then used to create a pressurized flow from thetop to the bottom of the filter, dislodging the filter cake from the surfaceof the filter elements. The removed filter cake is discharged through thedrain line. After all the other groups in that row have been backwashed, the drain valve is closed, and the normal filtration process is resumed. The other rows are then backwashed in sequence.
The unfiltered solution fills the entire vessel and is circulated through theoverflow port, keeping the suspended solids in a uniform state.
The filtrate passes through the filter cake layer, filter screen, and spacerring area to the hollow shaft and filtrate outlet.
As the filter disc rotates, the dried filter cake is thrown off the disc andfalls to the bottom of the equipment by gravity, and is dischargedthrough the bottom discharge port.
The suspension is circulated through the filter disc, and the solid phaseaccumulates uniformly on the entire surface of the filter disc, forming apre-coat layer.
Washing is performed by circulating the washing liquid through the filter.Heating/Drying
The wet filter cake is thrown off the rotating filter disc and falls to thebottom. It can be discharged through the discharge port with theassistance of a suitable solvent. Pressure assistance can ensure the flowof viscous mixtures.
