Unite static mixers are divided into SK static mixers, SV static mixers, and

SX static mixers.

The SK type static mixer, also known as the single-helix static mixer,consists of helical plates twisted by 180 or 270 degrees. When installedin a pipe, adjacent helices rotate in opposite directions. Compared to the

SV type static mixer, the SK type has a poorer mixing effect and exhibits asignificant scaling effect.

The SV static mixer unit is a cylindrical structure assembled fromcorrugated plates of a specific size. It has no moving parts; instead, itrelies on its special structure and fluid dynamics to disperse and miximmiscible fluids, achieving excellent mixing results.

The internal elements of the SX type static mixer consist of intersectingbars oriented at a 45° angle to the pipe axis. The mixing performanceof the SX type is between that of the SV and SK types. When used inemulsification processes, it can disperse droplets to 2-5 μ m. Forgeneral mixing processes, the non-uniformity coefficient a√x is ≤1-5%,and the scaling effect is not significant. The pressure drop calculation forthe SX type static mixer is based on the hydraulic diameter and considersthe influence of the friction coefficient due to porosity.
