Unite static mixers are divided into SK static mixers, SV static mixers, and
SX static mixers.
The SK type static mixer, also known as the single-helix static mixer,consists of helical plates twisted by 180 or 270 degrees. When installedin a pipe, adjacent helices rotate in opposite directions. Compared to the
SV type static mixer, the SK type has a poorer mixing effect and exhibits asignificant scaling effect.
The SV static mixer unit is a cylindrical structure assembled fromcorrugated plates of a specific size. It has no moving parts; instead, itrelies on its special structure and fluid dynamics to disperse and miximmiscible fluids, achieving excellent mixing results.
The internal elements of the SX type static mixer consist of intersectingbars oriented at a 45° angle to the pipe axis. The mixing performanceof the SX type is between that of the SV and SK types. When used inemulsification processes, it can disperse droplets to 2-5 μ m. Forgeneral mixing processes, the non-uniformity coefficient a√x is ≤1-5%,and the scaling effect is not significant. The pressure drop calculation forthe SX type static mixer is based on the hydraulic diameter and considersthe influence of the friction coefficient due to porosity.

The fluid containing impurities enters the bottom chamber

(6) opens. At this time, thedrain port is connected to the atmosphere, creating a pressuredifference. The clean fluid on the outside of the filter elementbackwashes the filter element assembly. The backwashing suction deviceselects the dwell time for each filter element assembly based on theimpurity characteristics and backwashes each set of filter elementassemblies in the filter chamber one by one.When the differential pressure returns to its initial value, the drain valvecloses, the motor stops driving, and the filter continues to filter. Theentire process is continuous, and the backwashing water volume is small,without affecting the outlet pressure.The control system

The mixing process in a static mixer is achieved by mixing elements fixedinside the pipe. Due to the action of these mixing elements, the fluidrotates alternately to the left and right, constantly changing its flowdirection. This not only pushes the central fluid flow towards theperiphery but also pushes the peripheral fluid towards the center,resulting in excellent radial mixing. Simultaneously, the fluid's ownrotational motion also occurs at the interfaces between adjacentelements. This complete radial circulation mixing action significantlyreduces temperature gradients, velocity gradients, and mass gradientsacross the pipe's cross-section.
