The Unite U-ZC-X1/X2 series fully automatic suction filters are availablein both vertical and horizontal configurations. A geared motor drives thecleaning mechanism, which incorporates a unique multi-layer stainlesssteel filter screen, achieving filtration accuracy down to 10 microns. An Automatic Suction-type Filter is a self-cleaning filtration system that removes contaminants from liquids by using a suction scanner or nozzle that travels along the filter element surface to extract and discharge accumulated solids.
During operation, fluid passes through the filter element while solids are retained. When cleaning is triggered by pressure differential or timer, a suction nozzle moves across the filter surface, creating localized reverse flow that removes debris and discharges it from the system.
Key advantages include continuous filtration during cleaning, low water or liquid loss, high cleaning efficiency, suitability for fine particle removal, and reduced maintenance compared to manual filters.
These systems are widely used in water treatment, petrochemical processes, cooling water systems, paper and pulp industry, food and beverage, and industrial process water filtration.
Suction-type filters clean locally using a moving suction nozzle, minimizing process interruption and fluid loss. Backwash filters reverse flow through the entire element, which may consume more fluid during cleaning.
