ENERGY-EFFICIENT OPERATION, LOW POWER CONSUMPTION
The Unite U-ZC-G2 series scraper filter is designed not only for water filtration but also for automatic self-cleaning filtration of high-viscosity fluids, including solvents, acids, alkalis, polymers, coatings, and other challenging process liquids.
Featuring high filtration efficiency and a wide filtration range of 25–2500 microns, the scraper filter is capable of handling liquids with viscosities up to 5,800,000 cP. Its robust design ensures reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
The Unite U-ZC-G2 series scraper filter is widely applied in water treatment, petrochemical, metallurgy, power generation, fine chemical, coating, ink, paper, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, metal processing, and other industries.

The liquid flows in from the inlet, flows outward from the inner surface of the filter element, and exits through the outlet connected to the lower end of the filter element. Impurity particles are intercepted on the inner surface of the filter element. When a certain amount of impurities accumulates on the filter element surface, a cleaning procedure is initiated either periodically or based on a set pressure difference. A geared motor/cylinder drives scraper blades attached to the filter element surface to rotate, scraping away impurities from the inner surface of the filter element. The impurities leave the filter element surface along with the scraper blades and fall into the bottom of the filter with the downward-flowing liquid. A rotating sweep plate sweeps the heavy impurities at the bottom into the sludge chamber. The impurities accumulate in the sludge chamber and at the bottom of the filter. The drain valve opens periodically, discharging the high-concentration liquid containing impurities from the drain port, which can then be recycled.
Fluid enters the filter and solid particles are captured by the filter element.
When preset pressure or time is reached, the system automatically initiates backwashing.
Removed particles are flushed out through the drain outlet.
Differential pressure is continuously monitored to detect filter contamination.
Clean fluid flows in reverse direction to remove trapped contaminants from the filter surface.
The system resumes normal filtration without interrupting operation.

A Fully Automatic Scraper Filter is a self-cleaning filtration system that uses mechanical scrapers to continuously or intermittently remove accumulated solids from the filter surface without stopping the process.
Fluid flows through the filter element while solids are retained on the surface. When a preset differential pressure or timer is reached, a scraper mechanism automatically rotates or moves along the filter surface to remove debris, which is then discharged from the system.
Key advantages include continuous operation, automatic cleaning without consumables, low maintenance requirements, stable filtration performance, and suitability for high-solid or viscous fluids.
These systems are widely used in chemical processing, petrochemical industry, coatings and paints, oil refining, food and beverage, wastewater treatment, and polymer production.
Scraper filters physically remove solids from the filter surface using a mechanical blade, while backwash filters reverse flow to clean the filter element. Scraper filters are more suitable for viscous or sticky media.
For a large chemical plant in the Dalian Development Zone, UNITE supplied a modular automatic self-cleaning filtration unit for high-flow circulating cooling-water purification and reuse. The system combines stainless-steel wedge-wire screens, motor-driven suction or brush cleaning, automatic blowdown, differential-pressure and timer triggers, PLC control, touchscreen monitoring, remote communication, and corrosion-resistant construction. The reported result was an extension of heat-exchanger cleaning and maintenance cycles by more than 50%, together with zero manual intervention for automatic blowdown.
