The Unite U-CL-V leaf filter, also known as a pressure leaf filter orthickener, uses filter discs as the filtering element. The filter discs arestacked on the main shaft of the equipment and rotated at a low speedby the main shaft. The filtrate passes through the filter layer from boththe upper and lower surfaces of the filter disc into the interior of the disc.
Catalyst particles are retained on the surface of the filter disc, forming afilter cake. The clarified liquid enters the hollow main shaft from theinterior of the filter disc and is discharged from the outlet at the bottomof the container. The filter cake on the filter disc is controlled by ascraper to maintain a constant thickness, allowing the equipment tomaintain high-precision filter cake filtration while slowing down the rateof increase in equipment resistance.
